Amy Durham is the mother of a child with an addiction. She earned her warrior cape years before the death of her son, Alec, as she watched him waver in an and out of sobriety. In his honor, she continues to speak out in the community about addiction awareness and recovery. She and her husband, Jeff, own a remodeling business, DMC Home Improvement & Designs where she works as an interior designer. Their daughter, Layla, and her stepson, Chase, also keep her on her toes. To help her with the grief process, she enjoys creative hobbies such as gardening, sewing, painting, crocheting, and napping.

A high school English teacher, Michele Hurley Davis, seeks joy in day-to-day activities. She continues to live her life “all in,” just as her son Carter did before he was tragically murdered. Michele finds comfort and enjoyment in her job as a teacher, being creative, enjoying the outdoors, hiking, jeep riding, reading, writing, and podcasting. Never one to sit still, she keeps her husband, Jeremey, and their daughter, Greta, always seeking new adventures. Throughout her grief, Michele’s superpower slogan has become “Bravely Say Yes”, and she lives to honor both sorrow and joy, heartache and happiness, and despair and hope.
